The automotive aftermarket is filled with a massive array of parts manufacturers, some of them much better than others. At AS we offer FORGED WHEELS & CAST REPLICA WHEELS

For aftermarket wheels, there are two major manufacturing processes: forged wheels and cast wheels.

Almost all cheaper wheels will use a “cast” design while high-end wheels, such as our AS FORGED RANGE , strictly using a “forged” design. Unfortunately, many enthusiasts do not understand the difference between a cast wheel and a forged wheel, and they end up purchasing something not-quite-right for their needs.

Cast Wheels ( OEM WHEELS ) ( Standard rims on  most vehicles from factory

A cast wheel is made by pouring molten aluminum into a mold where it is formed to the correct shape and sits there until it cools down. Once the wheel cools down, they perform trimming and drilling. Unfortunately, there is one massive flaw with this method of producing wheels: porosity. Porosity is the physical space inside the material once it has cooled, and it allows for weak points to form. The cheapest workaround for this problem is to use larger tolerances, ultimately making the wheel heavier. This method of wheel manufacturing is quick and cheap, allowing for mass production of cheap wheels.

 

AS FORGED WHEELS

There are two methods for making forged wheels: machine forging and mold-form forging. Nearly all forged wheels on the market use machine forging. This process takes a chuck of billet aluminum and subjects it to high temperature and tons of pressure which create a compressed structure which is much stronger than the original piece of billet. The large piece of forged aluminum is machine cut into the desired shape. This is the traditional process for building traditional forged wheels.

Wheels & Tyres -

Wheels & Tyres are non-returnable and non-refundable, all wheels are inspected before leaving the depot and therefore should not have any problems, if for any reason, by chance a flaw is spotted straight after wheel arrives to client, please contact the sales team on - WHATSAPP: 079 727 8886 | TEL: 018 462 4645 to inquire, however every wheel that is inspected before leaving the depot, has been photographed to assure condition.

PLEASE NOTE:

If an exchange or refund would like to be made before the purchased item is used, customer will have to provide item in original condition, in original packaging, with the invoice, within 7 days of purchase date, as well as "no tyre should have been fitted on the wheel". All transport costs shall be borne by the client in case of returned goods for items correctly supplied and 15% handling/admin charge will be deducted.In the event that an order is cancelled before it has left the store, and payment is done through Payfast or EFT, transaction/bank charges will be deducted from the refundable amount as well as a 15% handling/admin fee. Refunds will take up to 7 working days to be processed.

Autostyling will not be held responsible for any damages caused or incurred once the wheel has been equipped with tyres, and fitted on the vehicle.

Damages to wheels due to negligent driving or bad roads will not be held accountable by Autostyling.

**Electrical items with a warranty that have been fitted or installed cannot be returned with any physical defects or damages, other items such as lights, light bulbs, led, led bars and led kits DO NOT carry a warranty and cannot be returned or refunded. These are non returnable items. Please Note: All products are tested before it leaves our store.
