In June 1992 a small series of Porsche Carrera RS (about 90 units) was marketed with a 3.8 liter engine (3746cc) and 300 horsepower at 6500 rpm with a torque of 360 nM at 5250 rpm, for a weight of 1210 kg. The model had a biplane rear wing and widened fenders which allowed 235/40 ZR18 tires at the front and 285/35 ZR18 at the rear.
